About MeHello! My name is Dani Cooke, and I am a junior and Critical Theory & Social Justice major at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California. Now an aspiring immigration attorney, I have been engaged with immigrant advocacy since February 2016, when I had the opportunity to camp on the U.S.-Mexico border with a class group for ten days. Following that experience, I began interning with an immigration law firm in my hometown of Boulder, Colorado, and I have been working in the field of legal advocacy ever since. Beyond community engagement and social justice, my passions include visual arts, queer culture, creative writing, and drinking copious amounts of coffee. Welcome to my creative writing portfolio!
